Today’s Verse:
"But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him." Jeremiah 18:4
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
Today's verse is about Jeremiah's interpretation on God's works. He looks upon the potter's work, explaining God has the authority to shape us in HIS hands, and the power to form us into whatever as He pleases. On the other hand, he explains that God is a "God of second chances", if we formed into a pot not as He pleases, for instance, if we're broken by our sins commited or shattered by the hammer of the devil or deceited by it, He'll shape us into another pot, which seemed best to Him.
Father, so often, we have in mind, our future, how it will be like in a year, 5 years or 10 years. For that we pray to You, according to our own will and thought. But as written in Isaiah 64:8, “Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” Father, only You know how to shape us into what is the best for us, in accordance to Your will. Father, as the clay in Your hands, let us have the willingless to accept Your shaping and molding.
Father, we don't know why certain obstacles happened in our lives, but You are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, take us, mould us, use us and fill us with your glory, we trust You have our best interest at heart.
In Christ's glorious Name we pray, Amen.
