Today’s Verse:
Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." - Luke 23:43
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
Thankyou for giving us Luke to tell us this story about the criminals who hung beside Jesus. Father, this man was a convicted criminal, but he was less guilty than many of those who stood beside the cross reviling Jesus! Father, he heard Jesus' teachings and he said "we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong."
Indeed, Father, for all those other men, they didn't see nothing, but for this dying man, he feared of no other power but God alone, so he actually said something decent, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."
Father, we all heard Jesus' teaching, we all know how He has healed the sick and pardoned the sin. Father, we all knew Jesus' deeds, we all know how he has died for us in exchange of God's forgiveness.
Father, we believe that Jesus had suffered wrongfully, just like this criminal. Father, we believe that we can humble ourselves, stand up boldly infront of You and truely confess our sins, just like this criminal. Father, we also believe that we will be qualify to follow Jesus into the paradise.
For we know Jesus Christ died to open the kingdom of heaven to all penitent, obedient believers.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.
Inspired by the prayer from "Hour of Power": Lord, Today I pray for people around the world. I forget my own needs and focus on the needs of others. Lord, bring to my attention faces and voices, minds and lives from lands near and far. What a mixture of human personalities You have created. Send Your Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, over the nations, crossing all borders and barriers. For this I pray. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks." - Luke 6:45
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
Thankyou, for teaching us to be good, each and everyday. It is also written - "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."
Father, everything sounded so easy when Jesus said all these sayings, to trust, to love, to be good, to preservere, to be joyful ... And yet, the world is full of tempatations, teachings became easier said than done, as always. But Father, there is one teaching that we can do always and this is to "love each other".
Help us Father, help us to think twice everytime when we want to blame things on others, for relationship is like a mirror. Father, grant us a giving and a forgiving spirit, so that we may build up stronger relationship between brothers and sisters in Christ and in the community. Father, encourage us to do good and be good to one another.
Our mouths are directly linked to our hearts. Father, may the word of Christ be so grafted in our hearts, that we may be fruitful in everything we said. Father, may what we think, speak, and act are in harmony with the teaching of Christ.
May we help those who take pains in religion to find their hope in Christ through us.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." - Hebrews 12:2-3
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
Sometimes, we spend so much time, focusing on our own problems, our misery or our misfortune. Yet, if we spend just a few minutes away from ourselves and look at the world created by God for us, we will easily find so much to cherish - Nature, say the sun, wind, rain, cloud, sky, eagles, birds, butterflies, worms, grass, flowers, lilies, pets, fishes.... Like the hymn we always sing at church "All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful: The Lord God made them all".
Father, when we feel demotivated of any kind, we should be fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. When we think weary and faint in our minds, we should think what Jesus has suffered for us, to save us from eternal misery. Because through him, our sins are being forgiven, through him, we are saved and most important of all, through him, we are united with You once again, Almighty Father.
What are our little trials as compared to his agonies?
Father, we Thank You for the guidance You give us everyday, every hour, every minute and second of our lives. We cannot accomplish anything without Your strength, Your love and support. God, may we choose to spend our lives to love You, trust You, honour You, serve You and obey You, for it is written "Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you, that it may go well with you."
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters" - Psalm 23:2
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
Our world is full of duties and obligations, from work, family, friends, church, organisations, etc. Sometimes, we will stop and wonder "What is the meaning of life other than earning money and fulfilling all kinds of responsibilities?"
Father, Thankyou for giving us Jehovah as our shepherd. For He promised to lead us, a flock of sheep, to a place where there is verdant pastures and still water. He will allow us to rest peacefully there as well. Father, in Your words, we get quiet and contentment in our minds, which no one or thing can provide in this place full of earthly values.
Like Jean Otto said "Several times along my life's journey, I had nowhere to turn to except into my Heavenly Father's arms. There I remained in quiet, soaking up His love for as long as I needed". Father, may we find peace, love and hope in You as always.
Father, by faith, You will let us taste Your goodness, in all ways and every way. Thankyou.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us."
– Romans 12:6
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
Thankyou for shaping us according to Your grace. Imagine, if we all have the same passion to be doctors, lawyers etc. Guess what the world would be like?!
Often, we make mistakes in our personal development - we may have chosen the wrong A levels, university course to study; we may have chosen the wrong person to develop relationships with; we may have chosen the wrong job to make our living with; we may have chosen the wrong place to live.... Father, Your grace is sufficient for us. Father, You are God of second chances, although we may have walked away from the paths You have arranged for us, but we truely believe that You will always guide
us and lead us and eventually, we will walk on that path again in Your glory.
Father, we dislike people to focus on our weaknesses, but do help us to have the courage to accept positive comments from others, help us to understand that the comments are really meant to do us good. Father, change us and mold us, so that we may improve our qualities by focusing on finding people's strengths and pointing them out.
Father, help us to discover our own abilities and make good use of them, to help people and to pursue our lives' purposes. Father, if we still hadn't made this discovery, send us angels, to come alongside of us and point out our capabilities, so that we may use our gifts to assist others.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." – 1 Chronicles 16:34
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
When we were kids, we did many dumb things. Some kids, out of curiosity, would stuck their fingers in the socket, in the fan, in hot water, in the light bulb etc. Why? "I didn't know it would hurt".They said.
Father, Thankyou for sending us angels to recue us when we are tempted to do dumb things and spare our lives. Thankyou for sending us guards to protect us in times of need. Thankyou for sending us food, clothing, friends, money, books, songs, words, ... and many more, when we are in poverty.
Father, remind us constantly that when we get hurt, we also hurt the people around us, especially family. Father, remind us that when we hurt, You are also hurt.
Father, grant us wisdom to do sensible things, never get ourselves into danger by our our curiosity. Help us to refuse "what-if", "what-if" and "what-if" thoughts. Father, enable us to see things from Your perspective so that we can be strong.
Thankyou Father for Your love and cariing.

Today’s Verse:
"The king said to me, "What is it you want?" Then I prayed to the God of heaven" - Nehemiah 2:4
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
We may have developed a habit to pray to You every morning or night. Sometimes, we may begin our prayers with "Heavenly Father, today I .........." and started to Him everything, things we experienced, things we want to accomplish, things we wish but can never happen without miracles etc.
Father, sometimes, we may have nothing in particular in our hearts and minds. Sometimes, we may think "Just another day, as usual, nothing much is happening around us, life is easy, plain and uncomplicated...." Father, even if we think we have nothing to pray about, help us to pray to You in the Lord's prayer, for You are our Mighty Father, we put our trust in You and You are the one who knows what is best for us.
Father, sometimes, we may need to make a decision in swift's second, help us to learn from Nehemiah, who, in such situation, prayed a simple prayer and waited on You to put "an answer to his prayer" into his heart.
Father, help us to live each day with You walking beside us, guide us. Listen to our prayers, even our short prayers, enable us to hear Your reply, without delay.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the heart." – Proverbs 27:19
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
Who determines our way to look at things? Ourselves. If we see through things with own perspective, then we are no different from people seeing through things with colour lens.
Father, many times, when we meet new people, we would definitely ask somethings about them from our friends. Father, help us not to judge people from what we hear from others, but from Your prespective, seeing goodness in every person we meet. Father, it's hard, it's difficult, but it is true that everyone has a good side, right?
Father, help us to understand that the way of how we see others is actually a reflection of ourselves. If we are trusting people, we will see others as trustworthy. Likewise, if we are critical people, we will see others as critical.
Father, mold us everyday, through Your words, and may one day, people see the imagine of Jesus Christ in us.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." - 2 Corinthians 12:9
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
Thankyou for sheding Your mercy upon us, so that we are willing to change, willing to let Your mighty hands to work on us and let us transform into a better self.
When we are face with life challenges, will we choose to hide in a dark corner? or we just freak out and flee from You? Grace is what You favors us with, what You gives to us. So Father, we do feel that Your grace is sufficient for us.
You are the greatest provider, by Your grace, we have food to eat every day, we have clothes to wear, and we have a roof over our heads or even cars to drive.
You are also the biggest shelter, by Your mercy, we can show our weakness in You. You will comfort us and help us with Your divine strength. Lord, as it is written: "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"
Thankyou Father for teaching us our worth. We pray that You will fill our weaknesses with Your strength and grant us prosperity.

Today’s Verse:
"But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. " - Mark 12:42-43
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
Defintion of tithing is a tenth part of our annual income contributed voluntarily or due as a tax, especially for the support of the clergy or church. Some people may say "The church is already so rich, why do we still have to tithe?" Then they may choose give tithing at the end of the month, depending on what's left in their pockets. Others may look at the number of copper coins they have in their pockets and say "I am poor, Lord, I only have several copper coins left for this month and perhaps You would look upon the richer people's contribution more...and spare me from my obligations."
But, Father from Your teachings stated that we should tithe to honor the Lord with the first fruits of our increase. Therefore, we should tithe as soon as we get our salary or any kind of cash income.
Heavely Father, tithing is a test for us, a test to see if we honour and care about Your commands In Your teachings, like the widow, You valued her offerings so much more because You look to her heart but not in the money terms. Moreover, it is written "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.
(Malachi 3:9-11).
Father, You love us always, UNCONDITIONALLY, we praise You, we love You. Tithing is a way to show our love to You. Let us learn to follow Your commands and show our love and care to those less fortunate, that You also love and cherish, through our church offerings.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before." - Job 42:10
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
Thankyou for showing us Your mercy and grace through Your faithful servant Job. In the beginning, Job demonstrated his patience under his troubles, and at the end, he was happy in God's glory.
What are trials all about?
Most trials are in the same pattern, we experience troubles, we ask for God's mercy and our troubles being solved in God's timing. Father, we suffer in huge doses in this process of waiting, for You to solve our troubles through Your gracious hands. Help us to learn to have faith in You. Help us to learn to put trust in You. Help us to preservere through hope, love and faith.
Father, search our hearts and You'll know that we are faithful and we are longing to know more of Your words. Grant us health, wealth, success and riches in Your timing, through our honest endeavours as well as Your Almighty blessings.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"Pray continually." – 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
When life is severe—and it often is—what can we do?
Everyday, we face decisions.
Father, we all have pressure from work. There are questions everyday - Should we switch job? Should we change to a new profession? Should we go back to school again? Part-time? Full-time? Likewise, we all have pressure from our properties - car, house, garden, gadget, toy, phone etc. We honestly need a break Lord, from work, from family, from friends or maybe even from the properties we own!
Father, teach us to exercise our faith muscles, teach us the art of perseverence through prayers. Father, with Your mighty hand, sweep away all the pressures, fears, anxieties, discouragements, and resentments from us. Grant us peace in mind, tell us that all these "worries" would not can add a single hour to our lives!
Father, teach us how to take a deep breathe whenever we need and by doing that, let us inhale hope, love and strength from You. In the same way, teach us how to exhale, and by doing that, let us release all our fears, anxieties, discouragements, etc. to You.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.

Thankyou for putting our relationship so plainly and make it so easy to understand. We are the branches and You are the Vine tree. Father, we are unworthy as compared to Jesus, but You love us as deeply as You love Jesus Christ as long as we remain in You. Thankyou for loving us UNCONDITIONALLY.
How do we remain in You Father? By going to the church, by studying Your words, By fellowship with other Christians.... The root of the vine is unseen, but it bears the tree, it supports and supplies ALL the needs. The root actually symbolised the church, we go to church to hear God's words and to mingle with other Chrstians. How much more easier it is to get our nutrition by that!
Father, we all would like to be close to You, to be abide to You, to stay in a healthy relationship with You. We would do praying, reading and sharing more and more everyday and we would increase our faith also this way. Father, we trust that You will work powerfully in solving our problems and worries and let Your name be gloried in the process.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5

Today’s Verse:
"Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips." - Psalm 141:3
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
Make haste to help us. Set guards over our mouths, as our tongues may speak evil anytime, as we may speak unadvicedly when our enemies are provoking. Lord, we live in an evil world and You are our only saviour over our hearts, our minds and our souls, so please safeguard our hearts, do not let our hearts turn evil over the bad influence of the world.
Over the years, we spend quiet time with You and praying to You because we know how precious it is to offer this spiritual sacrifice to You. So Father, encourage us to continue to pray to You daily; through our fervent prayer, grant us wisdom in our words, our deeds and our thoughts and our everything, so that we may speak in-line with the teachings of the scripture.
Father, Thankyou for blessing us in the past. By Your grace, may You continue to bless us in the future, continue to help us mastering our minds, so that our behaviour and our speech may be pleasing in Your sight.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." - Galatians 2:20
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
The athletic shoe manufacturer has made this simple slogan, “Just do it!” Yes and they probably mean, “Whatever it is you enjoy doing, Just Do It."
We write many similar kinds of slogan everyday, to encourage ourselves, like “Just do it!", "Live for Jesus!", "Get up, Stay up!”. Father, by looking at the Apostle Paul's message, we could really feel that he is truely grateful for Jesus Christ who died for him and he really want to dedicate his life to serve Him.
Father, help us to position ourselves in Christ, like Apostle Paul, that our old self is crucified together with Christ and as it is written "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! "
Father, help us to live in the power of Christ's resurrection, like Apostle Paul, that He rose from the dead three days later with power and great glory, as it is written "In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."
Father, help us to rest in faith in Christ, like Apostle Paul, that “The life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of God.” So where do our faith to believe in Jesus come from? As it is written "Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ."
Father, we are aware of Your great mercy towards us each and everyday. Help us to come humbly to you to confess our sins and live as a righteous person in Christ.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves." – Romans 12:10
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
We all need family and friendship. Everyday, we try to make hardwired connections with other people, to find spiritual meaning and purpose. Father, after all we are created to be in fellowship with each other, right? Father, we were born into a family, then gradually, we make friends along our gentle walk with You each and everyday. Father, Thankyou, we do like this way You use to fulfill Your promise to us, as to "never leave us or forsake us", as to never leave us lonely.
Father, everyday, you mold us, change us and lead us in every step of our way. We don't deserve any of this, except by Your grace. You offer us faith, hope and love, like the song we sing at church "There is hope for the helpless, Rest for the weary, Love for the broken heart, There is grace and forgiveness, Mercy and healing..."
Father, when we need help, You will give us help; when we need love, You will give us love. Father, encourage us to love one another, as delicate as parents' love to their children. Father, equip us to be ready to entertain those strangers at church, to welcome them.and to spread God's words.
Father, encourage us to step out in faith to reconnect to the people who are important in our lives, bless us so that we may share True Christian love with them.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
“If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love.”- John 15:10
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
Jesus illustrated his statements to the disciples about the interrelationship of love and obedience by comparing their love for him and obedience to his commands to his love for the Father and his obedience to the Father’s commands. i.e. We should love each other as ourselves UNCONDITIONALLY, because of obedience to You, our Heavenly Father's command.
But love is so hard! In the world nowadays, we always need to protect ourselves from being too friendly to people... Father, help us to learn from Christ, help us to put down our pride and be humble. If Jesus' can wash disciples' feet out of love, we should be able to put down our emotional condition and just offer our love to the needy.
Father, sometimes, we have a weak head full of doubts. Give us a willing mind to seek for needies in the society and offer them love. Help us not to sin our neighbours, in thought, in word and in deed. Show us the deceitfulness and wickedness of people and teach us how to humble ourselves and help them to heal.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"He provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy." – Acts 14:17
Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
You promise to provide for all of our needs. So we will hang on to Your promise dearly.
Father, we know that if we believe and trust You with all our hearts and all our mind everyday, then we will be good and do not have any worries. Father, but it's not easy trusting for Your provision 100%. There are just so many obtacles in life! What if so and so happen today? What if so and so....? Father, we have so many earthly concerns, we have needs of ourselves and needs of family, boss, friends, colleagues ... to handle everyday! Father, what if things go out of our expectation? Surely, we will need to plan ahead, if and only if that "hope in You" doesn't work...
Father, let us "Be still and know that You are God" and that You are capable in doing anything and everything that is best for us. We don't have to worry about even the tiniest thing in life. You take care of the birds in the sky and You take care of the lilies and we do think we are more worthy than they and we trust that You will definitely take care of us even better.
Father, life is a journey which we will cherish and enjoy. Father, help us rejoice and be glad in our lives, and don't let us wait until all of Your provisions for us are in order, because we may be missing out on some of life's most precious moments.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"You have been traveling around this mountain country long enough." - Deuteronomy 2:3
Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
We live overloaded and overwhelmed all the time. We spend so much time on work nowadays that, sometimes we will forget about eye protection, needing to look "somewhere far" or "something green" every 10-15minutes; other times, we will forget about eating, drinking and so on. Father, we are like drivers who lost their direction in a foreign land, forbidden ourselves to stop, until we were out of fuel.
Father, remind us that we are called to live our lives happily and rejoice always. Father, remind us that we are called to enjoy our everyday lives. Father, there must be more than work in life, so please, fill our lives with all the different and colourful essence that You have made, fill our lives with friendship, fill our lives with relationships and love, fill our lives with gatherings, fill our lives with sharing, fill our lives with continuous learning and fill our lives with Your words.
Father, from today onwards, help us to review our goals in lives and help us to learn to let go of things, instead of travelling around in circles.

Today’s Verse:
"Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." – Romans 12:15
Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
Grant us wisdom, teach us to be sensitive, to those around us. Everyday, we see people, here and there, sometimes we greet them, we eat with them and we talk to them. Are we aware of those who have hurts? Do we ever take a genuine interest in our friends, colleagues or buddies? Are we willing to offer an hearing ear and do something within our ability to help?
Father, we need a beautiful spirit of sympathy in order to share the joys and sorrows of others. Father, we need an unselfish character in order to listen to people, to encourage them in their midst of suffering or distress and celebrate with them in their delight or happiness.
Father, our needs are in Your hands, we trust that You will take care of them and You will offer us only the best - Your mighty help. Thus, help us to forget about ourselves and focus on the needs of others.
Father, everyday, we try to offer the professed love of Christians to each other which is sincere and free from deceit, but sometimes, we get rejection and refusal in return. Father, fill us with Your love, protect our hearts and minds, away from hard-heartedness, away from discouragement. Father, You are in control, we believe that You will take care of Your sheep, help us to accept that You will make the best arrangements.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord" - Ephesians 5:19
Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
This is the day You have made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Every Sunday, we will gather in the church, singing praises and worship to the Lord our God. Sometimes, we will go to dine with our family after church.
Father, we may not have paid much attention on the importance of the church service. It is written "By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work" (Genesis 2:2), and so should we! Indeed, after a week of hard work, we should take rest, go to church, listen to some teachings and spend some quality time with our family.
Father, You created us, molded us and continue doing Your good works in us, for this alone You worth our every Thanks and praises. Father, help us to treasure church services and the teachings involve. Father, encourage us to cherish opportunities to all these spiritual nuturing around us.
Father, may we use our lips to extend our worship further by stretching it into songs. May we use spiritual songs, as a way to express our spiritual emotions to You and to one another. May we use singing, playing instruments and making melody in our hearts to depth our relationship with You Father.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?"
"Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you." - John 21:15
Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
If you ask us this question? Will our answer be like Simon?
Father, we give thanks to You because of the pleasure of gathering.
Father, we give thanks to You because of the food and drink.
Father, we give thanks to You because of the grace and blessings.
Father, we give thanks to You because of the Jesus and all Your servants.
Father, we give thanks to You because of the bright sun, blue sky, sea, air, wind, birds, trees, flowers, animals and nature.
Father, we give thanks to You because of life.
Father, but if You ask us, whether we love You the same way as You love us? Will we hesitate to answer? Will we answer as straight forward as "Simon son of John" (Peter), who said this and then denied Jesus 3 times?
Father, everyday, we ask You to change us, mold us, help us, discipline us, walk with us, love us, encourage us and so much more. Father, what do You get in return? Father, as Your servant, if we love our neighbour as ourselves, what if we didn't get love in return?
Father, may we love You in all things and above all things; may we walk in the path You have prepared for us and may we have the boldness to say that we love You and to truely LOVE You as we say so. Father, You never love us conditionally, so help us to learn to do the same.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why "it was credited to him as righteousness."" - Romans 4:21-22
Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thankyou for testing our forefather, Abraham, who sustained many difficult circumstances through his unbreakable faith.
God, You are the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings. We all know that You are in control of everything. Help us to hold onto faith like Abraham, if we feel that we are being let down by our circumstances.
Father, so often, we judge our situation and think that there is no hope, no future, for something that we believe to be impossible.
Father, help us to hold onto Your hopeful faith, like Abraham, that what God has promised will come to pass no matter what the limitation there might be. (For Abraham, "So shall your offspring be" seemed to be impossible in his age.)
Father, help us to hold onto Your strong faith, like Abraham, that what God has promised will come to pass no matter what obstacles and impossibilities there might be. (For Abraham, it is "old age" and Sarah's dead womb)
Father, help us to hold onto Your unwavering faith, like Abraham, that what God has promised will come to pass no matter how long we have waited in prayers. (For Abraham, he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God)
Father, help us to hold onto Your convinced faith, like Abraham, that what God has promised will come to pass no matter how doubtful the promise might seem. (For Abraham, he was fully convinced by the promise of God)
Father, Thankyou for sending Your son Jesus Christ to this world and died for us. Father, Thankyou for giving us salvation. Father, Thankyou for being our righteous God.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" - 2 Corinthians 5:17
Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
This is our rebirth! Thankyou.
This is how God sanctifies us in love to make us holy and acceptable to Him.
For Christians, it is important to study the Bible, to meditate on it and to share God's words with one another, so that we may understand Him much more, especially His promises. Jesus says, "The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life" (John 6:63).
Father, we are new born babies in Christ and through the continuous meditation in Your words, we will continue to grow healthily. Father, we believe You have great plans for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us. If we ever fall off this path, please lift us up and put us back on track. Father, if we didn't see our plans in You, if we didn't see what we would like to see along this path You have prepared for us, grant us the understanding and the faith to carry on and to keep praying to You and never give up, until You give us some clear answers.
For what You have planned ahead for us, it's always the best.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"Blessed are those who persevere under trial, because when they have stood the test, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." – James 1:12
Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
Life is so hard, can we really preservere under trials of all sorts? Do we have to be like metal that is pure, that is cleansed of all alloy? YES, Father, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
Father, You will send us blessings anyway, because You love us, so why do we have to go through trials? Yes, Father, You send us trials for You want to enable us to carry on improving ourselves, You want us to go through difficulties with patience and constancy, so that Your name may be gloried through us.
Father, everyday is a new day that You have made for us, do let us rejoice and be glad in it. Father, You promised You will never leave us or forsake us, help us to do the same. Father, sometimes, we become so weak when we meet evil face to face, so weak that we want to give up everything, including our faith in You. Father, help us to concentrate on You, but not the stormy weather around us. Father, encourage us to increase our knowledge in promises through the manual (bible) You gave us. Help us to improve daily, so that one day, we may overcome the trials; so that one day, we may be Christlike; so that one day, we may overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21).
So Father, we will wait patiently until we receive this crown of life, this crown of righteousness!
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." - Matthew 18:18
Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
This parable brings out a message, that If a Christian is wronged by another, he/she ought not to complain of it to others, as is often done merely upon report, but to go to the offender privately, state the matter kindly, and show him/her the conduct.
Father, sometimes, we like to talk about people behind their backs. Father, sometimes, bad words slip out of our mouths unintentionally. Father, encourage us to change these habits and help us to be loving. Father, give us strength and boldness to change.
Father, You are the vine and we are the branches. If we were loose branches, we could not enjoy Your goodness. So, Father, help us to find prayer partners, who can pray with us on regular basis, so that we may become more knowledgable on Your words, we may become more resistant to the devil's temptation and we may become stronger in our faith.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face." - Job 13:15
Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
Job's suffering was extraordinary, which was more than anyone could bare. Satan took away his seven sons and three daughters, seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred donkeys and his large number of servants. Then, Satan afflicted him with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. To anyone, Job was like a man who had lost his way, his prospect and his hope.
Father, we are tempted to fear for the worse, when we experience the disgust of life. Father, have mercy on us, if fear comes upon us, help us to look beyond our current situation and encourage us to hold onto hope through Your promises.
Father, You are our faithful God and we trust that You will restore anything that the locus had eaten away and You will even promote us to a new level, according to Your will. As John Maxwell has pointed out to us "God is the owner, I am the manager. Every resource, every blessing I have today is a gift of God."
So today, Father, let us go through life with the hope of receiving Your mighty gifts that may lead us to a better future.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told." - Luke 2:20
Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
This story is about God sending His angels, bringing the Good News of the birth of Jesus Christ to the poor and humble. Thankyou Father, for showing us Your love and care by telling us the Good News in advance.
Everyday, we talk to You about different things. Sometimes, we will try to explain to You our needs and how dissapointed we are, not seeing our miracles. Father, wouldn't it be fantastic if You can always send Your angels to tell us the miracles which You have instored for us ahead? Father, "blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed", help us to have perfect trust in Your protecting love and strength so that nothing may frighten or worry us.
Father, whenever we feel "not sure", remind us that Your glory is powerful and huge; remind us that You work in miraculous ways; remind us that You often work quietly; remind us to count our blessings and remind us that You sent Jesus Christ to us from the heaven and died for us.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"Pray and not give up." - Luke 18:1
Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thankyou for teaching us through the parable of the persistent widow. Thankyou for helping us to understand the importance of fervent and steady prayers.
Father, sometimes we just do not understand why we have to pray to You in all and everything that we do each day. But as Your loving children, we will still pray to You always, as You have commended us. Father, grant us patience and continual fortitude, so that we will stand firm to this principle - "to pray to You always, until our prayers being clearly answered".
Father, in times of joy and happiness, teach us how to pray.
Father, in times of sadness, teach us how to pray.
Father, in times of our coming in and going out, teach us how to pray.
Father, miracles happen every day, so we believe that Your rescues for us are not far away. Father, if our miracle doesn't happen today, give us enough supplication to wait till that day.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
As it is written:
"He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever." - 2 Corinthians 9:9
Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thankyou for showing us the relationships between bible verses. As it correlates with Psalms 112:9 "He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor, his righteousness endures forever;his horn will be lifted high in honor."
Father God, this is such a good description of the righteous man's characterisctics. Help us to follow this example and improve ourselves, each and everyday, by being a generous giver, not only to the poor, but to anyone that's in need.
Father, Thankyou for showing us the generosity side of You. We know that if we determine to provide seeds to the sower today, You will definitely bless our havest and increase our yield tomorrow. Thus, both the needy and us, will have enough and sufficient supplication by Your grace.
Father, Thankyou for Your blessings, Thankyou for enriching our lives, so that we can be warm-hearted and unselfish. Father, Thankyou for giving us opportunities to assist and provide for the needy. Father, Thankyou for shreding blessings to others through us.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Verse:
"Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. Make level paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed." - Hebrews 12:12-13
Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
What makes our arms feeble and our knees weak? Burden.
Father, before Christ died, he was discouraged and ill-treated; when he died, his arms and legs were hanging out from the cross, motionless; after he died, he was risen from dead in Your glory. What made him so strong to tolerate all these brutality? It was faith, patience, perseverance, trust, belief, hope, love and devotion.
Father, often when we allow our feelings to dominate our being, we will feel so powerless and incompetent in everything that we do. Father, boost up our faith! Remind us that You are in control, remind us that we are Your precious children and remind us that You sent Jesus Christ to the world, to suffer and to die for us.
Father, next time when we are discouraged, enable us to follow Your love, hope and faith. Enable us to gain peace and follow Your calling to be a disciple constantly, diligently, and with pleasure.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
