Prayer for Today :
Dear Heavenly Father,
This is the day You have made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Every Sunday, we will gather in the church, singing praises and worship to the Lord our God. Sometimes, we will go to dine with our family after church.
Father, we may not have paid much attention on the importance of the church service. It is written "By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work" (Genesis 2:2), and so should we! Indeed, after a week of hard work, we should take rest, go to church, listen to some teachings and spend some quality time with our family.
Father, You created us, molded us and continue doing Your good works in us, for this alone You worth our every Thanks and praises. Father, help us to treasure church services and the teachings involve. Father, encourage us to cherish opportunities to all these spiritual nuturing around us.
Father, may we use our lips to extend our worship further by stretching it into songs. May we use spiritual songs, as a way to express our spiritual emotions to You and to one another. May we use singing, playing instruments and making melody in our hearts to depth our relationship with You Father.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
