Today’s Verse:
"Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?"
"Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you." - John 21:15

Prayer for Today :

Dear Heavenly Father,

If you ask us this question? Will our answer be like Simon?

Father, we give thanks to You because of the pleasure of gathering.
Father, we give thanks to You because of the food and drink.
Father, we give thanks to You because of the grace and blessings.
Father, we give thanks to You because of the Jesus and all Your servants.
Father, we give thanks to You because of the bright sun, blue sky, sea, air, wind, birds, trees, flowers, animals and nature.
Father, we give thanks to You because of life.

Father, but if You ask us, whether we love You the same way as You love us? Will we hesitate to answer? Will we answer as straight forward as "Simon son of John" (Peter), who said this and then denied Jesus 3 times?

Father, everyday, we ask You to change us, mold us, help us, discipline us, walk with us, love us, encourage us and so much more. Father, what do You get in return? Father, as Your servant, if we love our neighbour as ourselves, what if we didn't get love in return?

Father, may we love You in all things and above all things; may we walk in the path You have prepared for us and may we have the boldness to say that we love You and to truely LOVE You as we say so. Father, You never love us conditionally, so help us to learn to do the same.

In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
