Today’s Verse:
"Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face." - Job 13:15

Prayer for Today :

Dear Heavenly Father,

Job's suffering was extraordinary, which was more than anyone could bare. Satan took away his seven sons and three daughters, seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred donkeys and his large number of servants. Then, Satan afflicted him with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. To anyone, Job was like a man who had lost his way, his prospect and his hope.

Father, we are tempted to fear for the worse, when we experience the disgust of life. Father, have mercy on us, if fear comes upon us, help us to look beyond our current situation and encourage us to hold onto hope through Your promises.

Father, You are our faithful God and we trust that You will restore anything that the locus had eaten away and You will even promote us to a new level, according to Your will. As John Maxwell has pointed out to us "God is the owner, I am the manager. Every resource, every blessing I have today is a gift of God."

So today, Father, let us go through life with the hope of receiving Your mighty gifts that may lead us to a better future.

In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
