Today’s Verse:
Prayer for Today :
"When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”" – 1 Corinthians 15:54
Heavenly Father,
It is written in John that Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. Later, in the early morning of the next day, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. She thought Jesus' body had been stolen, she sat weeping. Then Jesus said to her, “Mary.”
When we saw the words “It is finished”, we thought we have reached the end of the story. When we read that Jesus' body had been stolen, we may have thought that it was only a small episode that was added to end the story in tragedy. Who would have expected that Jesus' came back and begin a next chapter?
Father, there are times in life, which we may feel that we have reached our limits or that You, Father, has brought us to an end. We may be feeling discouraged, disappointed and heart broken. But we should never loose our faith. We should not allow satan to steal, kill and destroy our lives. For God, nothing is impossible. Father, don't let us sit alone and weep about our status, don't let us worried about our future. Father, remind us that You will never leave us or forsake us, remind us that Jesus could come around any minute and everything would spring back to life.
Father, grant us wisdom and broaden our horizons.
In Christ's glorious Name we pray, Amen.
