Today’s Verse:
"What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways." – Job 22:28
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
This verse is about Eliphaz wrongly implied that Job didn't know You, Lord. It is a good and thorough false supposition of Job, being not only a stranger but an enemy to You, Lord!
Don't we get these "lecture" from our friends every now and then? Father, let us remember how Job was being treated; how Jesus was being reviled; and Father, help us to learn from them, help us to be patient at all times, help us to learn how not to return an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth (Matthew 5:38).
A person's attitude has a huge influence on his/her approach to life. Try to ask a coach or team players before a big game, try to ask a surgeon or a patient before the surgery, try to ask a student before the test... We don't need the best of everything to be happy, but we will definitely be happy if we try to make the best out of everything with a positive attitude.
One of the things we've learned is to expect the best to come out from life because what we get is sometimes what we believe. Father, help us to see the best out of everyone, everything and in return, help us to give our very best to others in every situation as well.
In Christ's glorious Name we pray, Amen.
