Today’s Verse:
And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:6-8

Prayer for Today :

Heavenly Father,

The parable is called "Parable of the Importunate Widow". It concerns judge who is both irreligious and lacking compassion. Nevertheless, he eventually agrees to do justice to a poor widow because she is so persistent in her demands. The framing material of the parable explains that it demonstrates the need to always pray and never give up.

Everyone should be persistence. If we want something and something very dearly, we should ask God for it with faith and trust. This story that Jesus tells us is so true. Don't we feel we are just like this defenseless widow whose lost her rights and had been taken advantaged of? But, through sheer persistence, she wore down an
unscrupulous judge to help her and grant her justice. Aren't we in a better position than she? God is just and when we ask for "things" from Him, I am sure that He will be much quicker to bring us His justice, blessing, and anything else when we need them.

Lord, give us faith to believe Your promises and give us perseverance and hope to withstand trials and adversities. Help us to put our trust in You. Surely, through Your unfailing love, You will grant us what we have prayed for, which are in-line with what You have planned for us, in Your Almighty timing.

In Christ's glorious Name we pray, Amen.
