Today’s Verse:
"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want." - Philippians 4:12


Prayer for Today :

Dear Heavenly Father,

How wonderful would it be if the sky may stay blue always? Then we don't have to worry about the rain, the storm or any other natural disasters. Isn't life the same? How wonderful would it be if all of us may stay healthy, wealthy and in love? Then we don't have to worry about anything, but live our lives to the full potential.

Are we enslaved to the details of life? Are we being greedy? Are we striving for better qualities of life everyday? If so, when will be able to mature in Christ and rest in peace? Father, help us to realise what life really means. We don't have to live in Mid-Levels, to live in the best neighborhood in town to be happy!

Father, teach us to focus on You, above all earthly things. Father, teach us to be content. Father, teach us to rejoice in Your name, without concerning our status, whether we are well fed or hungry, whether we are living in plenty or in want. For we know that You feed the birds in the air, You clothe the lilies in the field and You dress the grass with Your splendor. How much more will You clothe us, feed us and care for us?

Father, teach us to be content and patient, in times of long-suffering. Father, hold us with Your powerful, gracious hands and lead us to accomplish Your purposes in our lives.

In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
