Today’s Verse:
"You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts." - 2 Corinthians 3:3
Prayer for Today :
Heavenly Father,
There is this book called "Healing Conversations: What to say when you don't know what to say" by Nance Guilmartin. The 1st passage is about a polite little greeting that we say everyday "How are you?". The author wrote "you may not realise that this innocent-soundind greeting can stress for people who are going through difficult times...we need to consider if we're really willing to hear whatever the answer might be."
Lord, in times of distress, how much we yearn for a listener? Lord, it is not easy to "hope in faith", it surely isn't easy for everyone of us to do that 24 * 7. But Father, in our weakest moments, bring us light, grant us mercy, assure us with confidence and remind us to count our blessings. Matthew 6:26 says "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" Father, allow us to let go and let You help us to bare our burdens.
Father, it is not easy to admit to our failures in our lives, it is even harder for us to talk to people about our problems and worries. But Father, it is written "Carry each other's burdens" (Galatians 6:2), so we rely on You, to bring us angels to accept us, to listen to us and to bare the load with us and to give us the care we need. Likewise, let us be willing to offer our helping hands to our brothers and sisters in Christ when needed.
Heal us Lord, so that one day, we will be able to spread the gospel of God with our own experience, as a living testimony.
In Christ's glorious Name we pray, Amen.
