"There will be no more death or mourning." - Revelation 21:4 NIV
Heavenly Father,
- "I am ready to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter." - Sir Winston Churchill
- "I'm not afraid to die. I just don't want to be there when it happens." - Woody Allen
- “Have the courage to live. Anyone can die.” - Robert Cody
People joke about death.
Paul said "I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. " (Philippians 1:20-24).
Paul chose to spread the good news of Jesus, so he chose to live! Do a google search and you would know what type of condition he was in when he wrote Philippians. If he could have survived in such circumstances, why couldn't we?
We all have treasured memories. We all have accomplishments and we all have precious relationships and loved ones. So, Father, do not let us loose heart, until You really call for us.
In Christ's glorious Name we pray, Amen.
