Today’s Verse:
"In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace." - Ephesians 1:7

Prayer for Today :

Heavenly Father,

Everyday, we have this constant struggle with forgiveness. We may get so fastrated with people who jumped the queue, who hit us accidentally with whatever they're carrying... Sometimes, we may get angry because some friends or some people mindlessly said something to us which may hurt us emotionally... Likewise, we may hurt other people unintentionally.

Sometimes, we will feel, everything should be fixed by saying "I'm sorry." But it is not that simple in many or if not all the cases...Sometimes, we will feel "He/She needs to learn a lesson, I am doing him/her a favour." and be stingy in giving out "mercy" to this poor person...

Father, we are commanded to forgive our brothers and sisters, the same way as You have forgiven us. Take Joseph for example, Father, He had all the rights to hate his brothers, for what they had done to him but then, he forgives. How do we know that he have truely forgiven them? How do we know that it wasn't just "an act"? Because Joseph had named his son "Manasseh" - "one who causes to be forgotten". Another example will be Jesus, after He was being mistreated, He said "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

Father, help us in all ways and everyway, to break these strongholds in our lives, strongholds of blame, guilt, pain, insisted on punishment, tears, groans, sadness, rejection... May we open our hearts and minds to welcome Jesus to come into our lives and help us to clean up this mess and break up all these chains to strongholds.

In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
